Each PURITY filter consists of three units: filter head, replaceable cartridge and flow meter.

BRITA system demineralizes water in several stages:

Pre-filtration
First, a pre-filter reliably retains coarse particles.

Cation exchange
This filter medium reduces all cations responsible for carbonate hardness in the water. Depending on the selected bypass setting, it significantly minimizes or even prevents unwanted limescale deposits.
Activated carbon filtration
Activated carbon reduces substances such as chlorine that impair taste and aroma.
Fine filtration
At the end of the filtration process, a fleece retains any fine particles.
